Measure the apron, not just your waist.
Lay an apron you like flat. Measure the body from the top of the bib to the bottom edge, then check the width at the upper waist and hem. Compare the same points on the product diagram. The classic and 12 oz water-repellent diagrams show a 31.5-inch body, 27-inch upper width and 26-inch hem width.
Our tool line is offered with M–XXL fit guidance. Check its selected option before ordering; that range does not replace a personal fit check.
Adjust in this order.
- Wear the clothes you expect to work in.
- Place the straps over both shoulders and check that they lie flat across your back.
- Set the bib height and even out the two sides.
- Secure the waist ties. Keep loose ends away from heat and moving equipment.
- Reach forward, bend and sit. Check that the pockets remain easy to use.
Before washing.
Empty every pocket, remove loose debris and check the care label. Secure long straps so they are less likely to tangle. Wash similar colors together. If a model has detachable straps, follow its label for removing or cleaning them.
Follow the garment label.
Care directions can differ between styles and production runs. Use the label on your apron for the wash temperature, drying method and ironing instructions. Do not apply a waxed-canvas routine just because an apron is made from canvas; our listed water-repellent finish is a separate detail.
Let the apron dry completely before storing it. Check clips, stitching and ties from time to time, especially if a pocket has carried heavy items. Keep your kitchen apron separate from one used with paint, chemicals or dirty tools.
